Support music in the making. Share a Chair with Smith Square musicians.

We’re seeking your help to replace the much-loved and much-gaffer-taped chairs and equipment propping up our musicians in Smith Square Hall.

Appropriate seating and sound protection is vital for the occupational health and career longevity of our Fellowship musicians and for the hundreds of visiting musicians we welcome to Smith Square each month.

We need 52 new orchestra chairs for use in Smith Square Hall, as well as 8 acoustic shields, which prevent hearing damage; brass and percussion can take their toll on delicate ears!

Our target to fund these is £23,000.

£100 could help fund a 10-chair storage trolley

£300 could cover the cost of a chair

£500 could pay for two acoustic shields

£1,000+ could support an entire section

Please help us provide better working conditions and a better concert experience for everyone in the building, on stage and off, donating to Sinfonia Smith Square’s Share a Chair Campaign.

Each donation supports the seat of a musical talent for today and tomorrow, ensuring that each of our musicians has the facility they need to make the music we love.

If we are fortunate to raise more than our equipment costs, additional funds will be used to support our core work, sustaining classical music’s future.
