Later this month, Sinfonia Smith Square is presenting 'Stories', an intimate concert in the round that has been curated by our Fellowship musicians themselves.
As part of our audition process, we ask prospective fellows to bring a piece that mean a lot to them, or that they would love to play, and we then bring those choices forwards into our programme, so that our musicians help to shape the music they play throughout their year in the orchestra.
We sat down with four of our musicians who’d suggested repertoire for this concert – Eliza Talman, Hannah Harding, Rachel Newbold, and Rachael Watson – and discussed the stories behind their choices, and what these pieces mean to them.
