Quickfire Questions
What is your earliest musical memory?
Learning to play Christmas songs when I was 4 – I wasn’t learning music at the time yet so I didn’t know notes. But I had a 1-octave yellow keyboard with each note in different colours – I was drawing the appropriate colour under each note in the music so I can follow those! This was to get Christmas presents – in our family we need to do a performance for each present!
Are you from a musical family?
No – I am the first one ever in our family history to study music professionally. Although I have heard stories about my grandparents being very musical, but I never got the chance to meet them so I have been on this journey on my own, but with the greatest support from my family!
