Biography
I grew up in Derecske, Hungary and my parents wanted me to pick an instrument at the local music school so I chose the recorder. Later on, it turned out that my recorder teacher was also a professional horn player so I changed instrument and joined the Youth Wind Orchestra of Derecske. That was my hook into the world of music.
Moving to Debrecen, Hungary to study was an amazing experience and my years at secondary music school bring back a lot of good memories. I then got accepted by the University of Debrecen Faculty of Music where I did my bachelor’s degree. During my time there I gained orchestral experience with the Kodály Philharmonic Debrecen and the Óbuda Danubia Orchestra in Budapest. I also took part in many national and international competitions, receiving awards as both a soloist and with my brass quintet.
After Hungary, I auditioned for a master’s in Dresden, Germany. It was extremely difficult to get in because a lot of talented players applied and there were only two places. Luckily, I did my best audition ever and I got the place. The other spot was filled by a Slovakian horn player called Martin who became my best friend. For me, that was the point when I decided that I wanted to do this for a living. I want to travel and meet (and play with) people from all around the world.
In early 2017, I began playing for the Mittelsächsisches Theater and the Philharmonie Freiberg in Germany. Eight months later I got accepted as a substitute player for the Dresdner Philharmonie. Since then I have continued to perform with many major orchestras.
Music for me is still an undiscovered universe which is waiting for me. And if I’ve learned one thing it is that you have to live the music, breathe the music, eat, sleep, and literally be the music – 24 hours a day.
When I do get some spare time, I like to do yoga and meditation, travel to other countries, watch techie videos, and create content for my brand new YouTube channel.

QUICKFIRE QUESTIONS
If you weren’t a musician, what would you be?
Definitely an astronaut! I’ve read a ton of books about astronomy and stargazing and I’m fascinated. It would be great to go out there and, of course, come back.
What’s your most memorable moment as a musician?
Last year I had a chamber music exam and played a horn trio with two of my friends. I was very nervous but as soon as we started I suddenly got this infinite sense of joy in my heart. I was thinking about how fortunate I was to be playing music together with these amazing people. It was my most memorable and grateful moment as a musician.
