Join us for a spectacular evening featuring the brilliance of brass, strings, and choir.

The programme opens with two contrasting fanfares: Aaron Copland’s noble and timeless Fanfare for the Common Man, followed by Joan Tower’s spirited and empowering Fanfare for the Uncommon Woman.

The choir takes centre stage with Benjamin Britten’s Ad Maiorem Dei Gloriam (A.M.D.G.), a striking collection of seven unaccompanied choral settings of poems by Jesuit priest Gerard Manley Hopkins. Complementing this, the programme also features Britten’s Variations on a Theme of Frank Bridge, a virtuosic showcase for strings that pays tribute to his mentor with  charm, energy, and invention.

The concert culminates in Leonard Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms, a masterpiece that brings choir, orchestra, and soloist together in a heartfelt exploration of peace and unity.

This programme is a rich tapestry of styles and sounds, celebrating the full expressive range of our musicians. Don’t miss what promises to be an unforgettable evening!
