Last week, we held our first ConcertLab with our 2024/25 Fellowship - The Orchestral Forest. Creative Director Matt Belcher led us into an immersive world of Celtic rainforests and ancient woods through carefully curated classical music and sonic landscapes.
A highlight of the night was a work from renowned contemporary composer Dobrinka Tabakova – The Patience of Trees; other music performed included Mendelssohn’s wondrous A Midsummer Night’s Dream Suite, and Michael Nyman’s Strong on Oaks, Strong on the Causes of Oaks.
