QUICKFIRE QUESTIONS

What do you love about classical music?
For me, classical music is like a journey. Once a piece starts, you can’t stop travelling until reaching a destination; but you never quite know where that will be.

What’s on your playlist right now?
My classical music includes masters of the clarinet like Sharon Kam and Martin Fröst, then symphonic repertoire by Brahms and Ravel. I also like listening to klezmer and jazz – particularly David Krakauer, Winton Marsallis and Willie Nelson.
I like to hear different styles of music as I believe when the musicians are good – no matter the genre – it’s a great way to get inspired.
